Sondra Asendorf - Owner
"In 1972, I moved with my family to the Napa Valley and began teaching at Napa College. As a full-time working mom, I struggled to find quality childcare for my children. And I decided I didn't want other working mothers to face this same struggle. I had a passion for education and developing curriculum and the pieces came together. And so began my journey in 1982, developing Wine Country Day Preschool. I'm very proud of the work we do and the difference we make in the lives of children and working parents." Sondra holds a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Education and Curriculum Development.

Sondra, the teachers I work alongside, and all the fabulous families who have passed through our doors over the years have made working here such a blessing!!!" Liz is our Site Director and has been with WCD for 30 years. She is a proud mom of three, her youngest is a graduate of WCD.

Sheri Jennum - Administrator
"My mom, Sondra, created Wine Country Day in our home back in 1982 because she saw a tremendous need in our community for quality early childhood education. For 35 years, WCD has set the gold standard in the Valley for Preschool education. I am here to build on what my mom has started and carry it forward to our next generations." Sheri is a proud graduate of Napa HS and holds a B.A. in Behavioral Science and a Juris Doctorate. She splits time between the Napa Valley and San Diego.
